Our PhD student Alina Schürmann presented her latest results of her doctoral thesis as part of the MIGRAWARE project at the EO for Africa Symposium. She presented a poster on the topic of ‘Spatial assessment of current and future climate risks and their impacts on migration in Ghana and Nigeria’.
The symposium took place from 23 to 26 September 2024 at the ESA-ESRIN campus in Frascati, Italy. It was organised by ESA in collaboration with the African Union Commission, the African Association of Remote Sensing of the Environment, the European Commission, EUMETSAT and NASA. Numerous exciting presentations highlighted the latest developments in Earth observation research and their applications with relevance for the African continent.
