Two representatives of the Department of Geoecology from the AgriSens-DEMMIN 4.0 project were at this year’s International Grüne Woche in Berlin. In the hall of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), we were given the opportunity to present the work, approaches and topics of the AgriSens DEMMIN 4.0 project to a broad public and interested people at a stand in the “Species Conservation and Climate Protection” section. The focus of the topics presented was on the fundamental suitability of remote sensing information to support digital processes in crop cultivation to save natural and operational resources, as well as on the presentation of the prototypes developed as part of the project. The hall was not only visited by interested guests, but also by Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, Cem Özdemir, who also came to our exhibition stand to find out more. The presentation of the AgriSens project was rounded off by an entertaining quiz on the benefits of remote sensing methods for agricultural monitoring, which was conducted by our AgriSens DEMMIN 4.0 colleagues Thomas Piernicke (GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam) and Christoph Friedrich (Julius-Maximilian-Universität Würzburg) as part of the BMEL stage program. Many thanks to the entire AgriSens DEMMIN 4.0 consortium for their diligent help in making our stand a success!
