Das Projektteam des DAAD Projektes BIOCULT war vom 20.06. bis 22.06.2023 mit einer eigenen thematischen Session zum Thema „Culture and Conservation – Harnessing synergies between cultural traditions and biodiversity protection“ auf der diesjährigen GTÖ Tagung in Ceske Budejovice vertreten. Neben interessanten Diskussionen während der Postersessions und Pausen, konnte den interessierten FachkollegInnen und Besuchern eine Vielzahl an interessanten Ergebnissen und Aspekten des Projektes vorgestellt werden.
Obgleich die GTÖ Tagung eine auf tropische Ökologie ausgerichtete Fachtagung ist, kamen die Vorträge aus unserem transdisziplinären Projekt sehr gut beim Auditorium an und erweiterte das Spektrum auf die Einbeziehung der kulturellen Dimension für den Natur- und Biodiversitätsschutz in tropischen Waldgebieten.
