At the Second Central Asian Dust Conference in Nukus (15-22.04.2024), Moritz Koza presented the latest results from mobile wind tunnel experiments. With his presentation he was able to draw attention to the consequences of agriculture in semi-arid regions of Central Asia as an underestimated dust source.
Thanks to the Karakalpak State University (KSU) for hosting and to TROPOS for organizing such a great event. The conference was a great platform for scientific exchange about dust research between meteorology, physics, chemistry, biology and geography. The conference proceedings will be published soon.
