On 07.06.2023, representatives of use case 4 “Irrigation” of the AgriSens-DEMMIN-4.0 project visited the 27th Field Day of Stickstoffwerke Piesteritz at their test facility in Cunnersdorf near Leipzig. Trial plots were visited and exhibition stands enabled an intensive exchange about current developments and news in the field of digitalization in crop protection and nutrient management, agricultural technology. The integration of digital tools and forecasting models was discussed with representatives of various institutions. AgriSens DEMMIN 4.0 colleagues from the Department of Agrometeorology of the German Meteorological Service (DWD) in Leipzig were also represented as exhibitors and provided information on the valorization and general use of weather (forecast) data and agrometeorological models in all aspects of agriculture.
