SAR-basiertes Monitoring landwirtschaftlicher Flächen

Im Projekt PhenoSAR-Demmin wird die Ableitung phänologischer Zeitpunkte und Zeiträume aus fernerkundungsbasierten Zeitreihen gemäß dem aktuellen Stand der Wissenschaft untersucht. Hierbei stehen besonders die Daten der Sentinel-1 Mission im Vordergrund. In den letzten Jahren haben zahlreiche Studien bewiesen, dass diese Daten eine hervorragende Grundlage für das Phänologie-Monitoring darstellen. Insbesondere die Sensitivität des Radars gegenüber physiognomischen Veränderungen der Pflanzen sowie seine im Vergleich zu optischen Systemen größere Unabhängigkeit vom Wetter sind hier von großem Vorteil. In PhenoSAR soll auf Grundlage dieser Erkenntnisse ein Monitoring-Ansatz entwickelt werden, der es ermöglicht einzelne Zeitpunkte aber auch Zeiträume, wie etwa den Übergang von vegetativer zu reproduktiver Phase zu detektieren. Dies geschieht insbesondere mit Hinblick auf die bereits am Standort Demmin laufenden Arbeiten. Hierbei ist im nationalen Rahmen das Projekt AgriSens Demmin 4.0 zu nennen. Die Einbindung des Standortes in die JECAM Initiative dagegen gewährleistet die Zusammenarbeit auf internationaler Ebene und dient als Ausgangsbasis für den anvisierten räumlichen Transfer des Monitoring-Ansatzes. Des Weiteren wird das Projekt eng mit der Data Cube Infrastruktur des Lehrstuhls für Fernerkundung verknüpft, um technische Möglichkeiten zum Transfer und der Skalierbarkeit zu schaffen.
